My Sunshine

“My Sunshine” is a love song about a woman who lives her life in the spotlight. She chases her fashion dreams from famous streets to cities far away, but behind the glamour her heart has been hurt and nobody seemed to notice. Jo Newfarmer sings from the point of view of the man who does see her — the beauty in her soul, not just the shine — and who wants to stand beside her through every joy and every strife, without ever making her career or her dreams a burden.

The sound follows that tender promise. The track opens slowly on fingerpicked acoustic guitar and Jo’s warm, close-up vocal. Bass and soft piano join in the first verse, and the chorus opens up with sweeping strings and layered harmonies. After a dreamy instrumental passage the song builds to a final chorus that repeats its central line — “Love will conquer all that came before” — before it fades out on gentle guitar. Written and produced by Jo Newfarmer, “My Sunshine” was released on 3 October 2026 and is played in C major.
